Terms of service

These terms cover your use of casatambora.com and the products you buy from Casa Tambora (“we”). By using the site or buying a product, you agree to them.

Buying from us

Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for all our orders, handles payments, taxes and invoices, and provides customer service for billing questions. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase itself. Prices are shown before checkout, including any tax that applies where you live.

After purchase, your products stay in your account library, where you can download them again. Refunds follow our refund policy.

Sample license

When you buy a sample pack or preset bank, you get a personal, worldwide, royalty-free license to use its sounds in your own work. The sounds stay ours; you're buying the right to use them.

You may:

• use the sounds in songs, beats, remixes and other musical works, edited or not;
• release those works commercially, on streaming services, physical media or anywhere else;
• use them in sync, film, games, ads, podcasts and online content, including YouTube, TikTok and Twitch.

You may not:

• resell, share or give away the sounds on their own, as they are or lightly edited;
• include them in other sample packs, sound libraries, preset banks or virtual instruments;
• use them to train, fine-tune or test AI or machine learning models.

Preset banks follow the same rules. The synth they run on stays under its maker's own license, and you need your own copy of it.

Plugin license

Plugins are licensed to one person, who may activate them on up to 3 computers at once and move activations from their account. You may not copy, crack, reverse engineer or share a plugin or its license key. A separate end-user license agreement will come with each plugin.

Your account

Keep your login details private; you're responsible for what happens in your account. We may suspend accounts used to share files or license keys, or to break these terms.

The website

The site, its text, artwork, audio previews and the Casa Tambora name and seal belong to us. Please don't copy them, scrape the site or try to disrupt it.

Warranty and liability

We work hard to make our products reliable, but they are provided as they are, without promises beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the product involved. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you buy a product applies to that purchase, and we'll update the date at the top whenever they change.
